Michael Goering is Chief Operating Officer of GSTJ LLC and Chief Executive Officer of the Data Power Investments fund. He is responsible for the operating procedures, compliance architecture and fund-control platform that support the firm’s work. His role is designed to make transaction activity repeatable and accountable: responsibilities, approvals, records, controls and review standards must remain clear as equipment and infrastructure opportunities move from initial evaluation through execution and ongoing administration.
Goering’s career was built across institutional finance. His experience includes Citigroup, a Managing Director role at Morgan Stanley, S&P Global, and service as Product Chief Operating Officer at Apex Group. He was integral to the integration of Smith Barney into Morgan Stanley, work that placed operating detail, institutional coordination and post-merger execution at the center of a large financial-services transition.
He also works with PredictNow.ai, applying machine learning to risk and cost reduction for hedge funds. Across GSTJ LLC and Data Power Investments, his remit is both practical and institutional: build procedures that can be followed, controls that can be tested, and a fund operating platform that supports disciplined growth without losing sight of the underlying equipment and project realities.
