Siemens Energy — breadth of constraint
Siemens Energy’s third-quarter fiscal 2026 release reported record orders, a €162 billion backlog, and record order intake in Gas Services. Grid Technologies also contributed to growth. The combined signal is that generation and transmission equipment are tightening at the same time, which can turn a fully specified plant into an incomplete project if grid scope is not secured in parallel.
GE Vernova — generation meets electrification
GE Vernova reported 116 GW of gas-power equipment backlog and slot reservations in the second quarter of 2026, alongside more than $5 billion of year-to-date data-center orders in Electrification. For campus developers, the separation between the prime mover and the electrical system is increasingly artificial: both sit on the critical path.
Mitsubishi Power — system architecture
Mitsubishi Power’s public data-center portfolio spans aeroderivative, industrial, and advanced-class gas turbines, as well as storage, controls, cooling, carbon capture, and hydrogen-related development. The signal is integration. Buyers increasingly need a coordinated architecture with a commissioning sequence, not an isolated machine specification.
Bloom Energy — repeatability
Bloom’s Power Connect announcement emphasizes factory standardization as a response to field labor and installation constraints. The claim should be read as company-reported, but the strategy is broader than one technology: repeatable deployment processes can compress risk where qualified trades and onsite integration capacity are scarce.
